Admiral Henry Duncan Grant, C.B., Royal Navy (12 October, 1834 – 9 November, 1896) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

On the occasion of the Queen's birthday Grant was appointed an Ordinary Member of the Third Class, or Companion, of the Military Division of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath (C.B.) on 29 May, 1875.[1]

Flag Rank

Grant was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 19 January, 1881, vice Commerell.[2]

Grant was appointed Admiral Superintendent of Devonport Dockyard on 10 July, 1885.[3] He was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 6 January, 1888, vice Hardinge.[4]

He was promoted to the rank of Admiral on 1 August, 1892, vice Whyte.[5]
