Price Vaughan Lewes, C.B., and D.S.O. (? – ?) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
He was promoted to Captain on 30 June, 1905.[1]
Captain
On 20 December 1905, Lewes was appointed to Hermes for command of the second class protected cruiser Hyacinth. He was reappointed on her recommissioning in April, 1906 and stayed in her until December 20th.[2]
He was appointed command of the battleship Cæsar on 9 August, 1910.[3]
On 6 June of 1911, he was appointed in command of Commonwealth,[4] operating with the Fourth Battle Squadron.
On 28 July 1914, he was placed in command of the battleship Superb,[5] operating with the First Battle Squadron[6] until forced to leave her in ill health on 4 November.[7]
